Brake Line Clips
I've been trying to compile a list of parts that I still need and where to get them and I've ran across an oddball that I can't find. Sometime this winter I'll be ready to run my brake lines and I have no idea where to get the little clips that fasten them to the frame. The originals were just a piece of sheet metal with a bolt hole and a stamped clamp for the 3/16" line dipped in plastic. These would suit me just fine. All I can find are those high-dollar billet jobs. That is way overkill for a driver. Anybody got any idea where to get them?

inline tube and classic tube both sell the stamped stainless steel line clamps with a loop to hold the tube and a tab with a bolt hole.. you can also find the factory perfect ones there that are the weird spring loaded clip on kind... do a google search on inline tube or classic tube and they both have sites..

If you just want a secure installation with no fretting or rust go to www.mcmaster.com and type "Tefzel strap" in the search window. About halfway down the catalog page that pops up you'll see an assortment of Nylon and Tefzel loop straps. They work great - better than most any other type of clip. They won't damage the tubing, won't squeek or rust, and are a snap to install. If you don't like the loop strap style, go forward and back through McMaster's catalog a few pages and you'll find just about any kind of tubing clamp you might want.
McMaster is THE major hardware supplier for aerospace and many other industries. We use their stuff all the time at the Air Force Base where I work. From home I order online with a credit card. They've got just about every kind of hardware you'd ever need for making machinery work. Highly recommended.

Brake Line Clips
I went to the "Hardware Store"(that's the name of the place)and bought rubber dipped line clamps that worked great. One small hole and tapped for a stainless button head. Looks great.
Anyone have any thoughts on a nice looking part for the front that holds the brake line to the frame? Typically has a clip that holds the line stationary. I have chopped some pieces of metal up and drilled some holes that work but it sure does look amateur. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Won't the clips you've already found work, or are you talking about something besides brake lines in the front?

George:
Sorry. I meant the brake hose. I am talking about the bracket thatholds the brake hose to the frame and also acts as the location for the brake line /hose union. Typically has a U shaped clip that holds everything together that can be a real pain to get loose.
Hope this makes sense. I made some out of heavy gauge aluminium (actually part of an old street sign. They could look better.

OK, I think I know what you're talking about. Usually come with the hose, right? Try this web site:

I just used Google advanced search and entered "brake hose clip". Got a bunch of hits and this one has some for the Mustang - 3 for a few bucks. There are a lot more I didn't bother to look at but you could if you want.
