Power Door Lock Installation Question

Power Door Lock Installation Question
F150 - 2003
Do some of these trucks actually not have power door locks that operate both sides? Or, is there something wrong with my newly purchased truck's door locks?
If so, how hard is it to put in an aftermarket electric door lock?
All I need is for both the things to lock from one door. I haven't had to manually lock all doors in a vehicle I have owned for over 30 years, and it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks. .
Thanks in advance for any help

What trim level is your truck.
If you have factory power locks The owners manual Will tell you. The locks can be disabled. If you don't have a manual you can download it here.
