I am looking at a 2001 supercrew Xlt 4x4 with a 5.4 motor and has 49,500 miles. It has running boards and a cd player with rearsliding window. They are telling me I can get the "special intenet price" of $23,400. It is only a year old and has a lot of miles. I haven't gone to look at it yet other than online. Tell me what you think a good price for a truck like this would be. I have never owned a truck before of course all my cars have been FORDS!!! Thanks
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 06-Mar-02 AT 05:14 PM (EST)]I don't know what options are along with the truck your looking at but it sounds overpriced.
I'm just about to sell my 2001 F-150 xlt 4x4 Supercrew (Triton V8 5.4L) and it has 19,000 miles on it with alot of options on it (power everything, power rear window, 6 disk CD changer, captain chairs, Mickey Thompson off road tires with 17" chrone wheels, and Roll Along Package and a few others). I am putting it on the market for $28,000. If your seriously interested let me know and I can send you pics and a list of options that are on the truck.
If you know all the options that it has try pricing it on http://www.kbb.com. I checked with just the basic power options and the few that you listed, and its blue book value was $24,800. So it doesnt sound like much of a "deal". Good luck getting the truck though.

Thank you for the information on the web site. I will go and check it out. I have been looking for a used supercrew all over my state and am having a hard time finding one. Wish I could go online and order the one I want but I don't have the 32,000 that I need to get that one. Oh well, I will keep looking.

Man, 24,500 is WAY too much for that truck. With those miles and in average condition, Edmunds.com says it's worth about 21,000 from a dealer and about 18,600 from a private owner. No way it's worth 24,500.
