Intercooler Dimensions
For those of you who have a spare intercooler laying around, or if you have an aftermarket one that you installed, could you please post your measurements of it, if you took some meausrements when you installed it? Or, if you have one laying around and you feel ambitious, could you please take as many meausrements as possible? Thanks in advance.

Well, i found the dimensions for a stock 7.3 aluminum intercooler on eBay. Now i am looking for the dimensions of a spearco or any other aftermarket IC.
Specifically, i'm looking for:
Core width
Core Height
Core thickness
Overall width at widest point
Width at the inside of the ports, IE the minimum width of the intercooler so it can fit in front of the radiator, down below the support.
Port size, stock is 3".

Here's some for you. I took all these myself, except for the 6.0 Spearco which Bunting took for me. Width x Height x Thickness, in inches of the cores:
Stock 7.3 - 30 x 17.75 x 2
Stock 6.0 - 25.5 x 21.5 x 2.25
Spearco 7.3 - 30 x 17.75 x 3
Spearco 6.0 - 24 x 23 x 3.5
I don't have overall width, with the tanks included. I don't have any of my stock ones left, so I can't measure them, and the Spearco is already on the truck, so I can't measure it either.

Well, my teacher gave me this wild idea to shoehorn a CAC from a Freightliner with Series 60 Detroit (12.7L) that we have in school into my truck. He said it would be an awesome upgrade, better than a Spearco or Technicooler, because it's designed to work with a 12-14L engine.
Let's just say that i found two almost new ones of different dimensions today at a local used parts "junkyard" (gold mine), and that little candle of an idea was lit in my head again. That's all im saying.

I like it. Especially because I know you have what you need at your disposal to make it happen. I don't think there would be any performance hit no matter how big the CAC is as long as you can shoehorn it in.
Edit: I suppose I should say nothing but cooler boost.
