This morrning my '94 E150,5.8 would not start.
I have had van for a year and it has run perfect.
Had to go to work,so I did not have time to look at it.
The one thing I did notice is that when I turned the key
to the run position I did not hear the sound that I allway thougth
to be the fuel pump? Forgot to say the engine turned over at
a normal speed.
Have you checked that the pump did run? I would look at the fuel pressure regulator to see if it is leaking and making it an extended crank situation. Also, if you can get a pressure reading to see if you are at the specified pressure for your year and model.
Just another thought to add. Take a look at the fuel pump reset switch. If it has tripped, push the button in and try to start it again. Had a 87 Mustang that did that a lot. Replaced the switch after numerous times it left me stranded. No more problems. Dealership never found out why. Mechanic took a wild guess and it worked. Just my 2 FWIW
