This is going to sound fairly dumb, but I really have not seen any extensions for a 3.5 pipe. Does an extension with a 4' inlet work? Would you have it welded or something?
I've not seen them either. That is probably because most people going that route go the larger exhaust route while they're at it. Your stock pipe is SS. It will clean up and polish quite nicely with some elbow grease. Aside from that, the tip won't do too much for you performance wise. Have a look at my old stock pipe next to my current Mark R 5" with 6" tip, the photos speak for themselves.
Yeah, I wasn't expecting there would be any performance increase- just a little cosmetic upgrade. I was not aware that the stock system was stainless steel- learn something every day!
Depends on what shape they are in. Could be a six pack to an 18 pack depending. I used a drill and sanding attachments. Knock off big stuff, use fine grit to get finish polished smooth, then I like Blue Magic because it shines great and has a great coating that stays shiny for a long time.
That photo is not really clean anymore as you can see because I knew it was being replaced. People would marvel when I told them how old the truck was because they assumed it was way newer from looking at the stock tailpipe. With a little work, it really looks good.
Edit: BTW, anyone considering polishing the tailpipe like that, you only need to sand it once if you keep it clean and polished every so often. It is SS. I saw it today out in the back yard and looks just like it does in that photo.

Sweet, I think I am going to do that, simply because I can. Also, MikeSDK, silverlineexhaust.com has some 3.5 to 4" tips. At least I saw an ad for a 4" turndown from 3.5"
I bought my truck for many reasons, and one of them was to haul deer in when I go hunting. Then I needed an ATV because the truck can't get close enough. Then I bought a boat cause a big truck needs something to haul blah blah. Back to the deer, it is that time of year. Her's a baby.
