Anyone know anything about lifting a 76 Ford f-100?

Anyone know anything about lifting a 76 Ford f-100?

I have a 76 Ford f100 2wd with I-beam suspension front. The rear is not going to be a problem at all but i have no clue whats going to work and not work for the front I-beam suspension. I only want to take it up 4" can anyone help me with this or have an suggestions to steer me in the right dirrection?

You have to get/make drop brackets for the front axle pivots, and of course springs, shocks.

the kit comes with springs shocks and all that mess but its these brackets your talking about that im relaly asking about. i guess. problems ill be running into after the lift is on or while putting it on with the I beam front suspension.

just flip the I-beams over. not sure how much that will net you but it should be pretty easy and straight forward, not to mention cheap/free

I did my '76 F100 2wd a couple years ago, I've sold the truck, but I have a before and after pic that I'll post. On the front I put 4" lift coils from JC Whitney, used 4" drop brackets from and 80's lift kit(took some fab and welding) and got longer shocks. I cant remember what application the drop pitman arm came from...my alignment shop got that for me. It rode and drove good. I was running 33" BFG's on 15x10wheels. Mike
