Help with intake manifolds
I have a 1978 302 motor and heads my problem
I went to the edelbrock becase my cast manifold was leaking water at the rear of the manifold so I replaced it. What I find now is on the old cast manifold at the rear the water ports are not there to match the head they are blank off no connection from one side to the other maybe that is why I was leaking. The edelbrock has a channel running from one side to the other. My question will this cast intake work or do I need a new manifold?

I am not sure I totally understand what your asking. but the rear water crossover is not important if it's blocked off or allowed through it's just a balance port if it's thre. The reason the heads have the ports in them on the rear is so that they are not side specific and can be used on either side interchangably.
