I need a carb rebuild kit, and my local autoparts store won't sell me one without the carb id number. Of course, my rebuilt carb doesn't have a tag on it. So, what was the stock carb for a 1985 F-250, 351 W 4 speed? it's a two barrell carb. Looking forward to the reply, because 6 miles per gallon just isn't cutting it!

more than likely its a 2bbl autolight i cant rember the numbers off the top of my head i think 5100 or 5200
i know what ya mean about them not selling the gasket kits i mean they do come with gaskets that fit any of the styles exactly like it i have about 20 junk ones on the shelf and just read them a tag and walla they all interchange

Autolite 2100. If you need the carb's part number, your local Ford dealer's parts dept can get that for you. But even with a kit, the mileage may not be much better. Bolt on a new Holley 350 or 500.
