Load-dependent steering whammy
Recently while hauling moderate loads (500-800 lbs.) in my '69 f100 4x4, I experienced a violent and "resonate" shaking through the steering wheel. The first time, I stopped completly, and then proceeded without problem. The next time, with a lighter load, I was able to drive "through" the problem. I've looked at the tie rod ends, center link bushings, draglink bushings etc. and they all could be replaced. I wonder though if anyone else has had the same problem and could suggest where to start? Thanks for any insight. Tim
