Recently, my transmission linkage cable broke near the column shifter. I have looked around my area at the auto parts stores to see if i could get a replacement, and none have any (or seem willing to order one in ). Does anyone have any recommendations on places i can look, and does anyone have any ballpark estimates on what i might be spending on this? Removal of the old cable was fairly simple, and I would assume that installation is just as straightforward. Is there anything I should keep in mind when I'm installing it? Basically, what are my dos and don'ts here? Thanks in advance!
My favorite place to look for parts is our local auto salvage yard. Call around or visit to look for once similar to yours. Recent postings have suggested that they may be getting scarce, but I believe there are still lots to be found.
