Supercharger Question Troyer vs. ProCharger

Hey all, I did a search and couldnt find an answer so I apologize if this has been beat in the ground. I have a 2000 F150 5.4l. I want to supercharge it but am torn between the Troyer Charger and the ProCharger. They seem about the same price wise, I would love to hear comments abotu which you think is better.

Thanks!

I don't know what a Troyercharger is.

I've got a Procharger and love it. It pulls and pulls as the revs rise.

You can cost-effectively put a Lightning blower on as well, for lot of low-end, tire-roading torque.

thanks man, the Troyer Charger is the one on Tryoer Performance, i think it is an Allen Supercharger...

anyway, i heard the procharger doesnt really kick in in lower RPMS, are you saying it does? Would be nice if it really kicked in around 1500-2000 RPM...

I love my Procharger and it builds boost quick but if you want power at 1500 rpms you might want to think about N2O.

thanks for the advise on the N20, but i think that is more risk and work than i want to fool with

In case it makes a difference, my truck has a 4" lift and 35" meats under it...seems the power at the lower RPM's would really be beneficial (troyer). But the extra $2k is hard to find...(procharger on ebay right now for $2400, troyer is $4500)

Roots (like a Lightning) or a twin-screw (like a Whipple) will provide high boost at low RPM.

Get a used Lightning supercharger, a kit from Mike Dunn (http://www.madenterprise.com/scparts.htm) for a good value for a roots-type blower.
