Ponder This ?
I have been sitting on a fence post about this for quiet some time I have a 79 supercab and I am thinking of putting the cab on my 78 bronco frame I realize there will be some carnage. My question to all of you is have any of you pondered this or have any of you tried this or done it any comments or info will be greatly appreciated

Ouch! I can think of other places to sit and think besides on a fence post!!!
There is a post on the BC/Alberta Chapter from a guy on the island that's doing exactly this. Seems to be relatively little carnage actually.
Here's the link. Good Luck!

robins build is similiar, but im pretty sure hes using a regular cab. as i had posted in the thread mentione, my friend has a dodge regular cab on a ramcharger frame, he swears by it says it will do just about anything. the only real problem with his, as well as what you are talking about is cosmetics. personally i think it might look a little weird, cause the supercab will just about take up the whole frame would it not.thats jsut my opinion, it would definetly be one of a kind and that in itslef would make it look nice no matter what

Hello Dude Zilla I am the guy doing the 79 F-150 cab onto the 78 Bronco frame. If you have any Q's that I may be able to help you with just ask away. You will have to fab a crossmember for rear cab mounts and driver side inner fender will have to be cut to clear steering pump, unless you use the one from the bronco as it's already cut. Is your truck a 4x4?

My cousin did the ramcharger frame / regular short box body swap. He had to cut about a foot out of the front of the box to make it fit but it looks pretty good. Helps that he's a dodge mechanic and has buddies that do paint and body work for a living.
Dude_Zilla - what's the condition of your 78 Bronco body? I'm looking for a newer (less bondo and carnage) tailgate for my 79. I'd be interested in any other body parts in good condition too. I live north of Edmonton about 15 miles.
