So, the 05, 06 stock chrome grille would be a direct bolt-on for on 03, 04? From the outside, the new grille looks bigger, like it wouldn't fit on my 04....Has anyone bolted on 05 grill on on 03-04?

No it won't directly bolt on to an 04. However on ebay there are a ton of 05 type grilles modified to fit earlier models. Can't vouch for their quality though.
