I was thinking about changing my whole front end
and from what I can gather anything ut to a 79
will work. I would also like to put power
steering on this at the same time. can I take
the whole steering colume and pump etc. from the
same donor truck? I was also wondering if any
year truck was better or worse for this switch?
You are correct in the years, 1973 throuhgh1979 will work for a power disc brake coversion. And yes, from what I have been told power steering can be added from the same donor truck. The column also is interchangeable, and the other powersteering hardware will work best if the donor truck has the same class of engine as the 1966 truck you have.
Trever, your truck came with a 352 if it is V8, so find a donor 75-76 with a 360 and buy it. Get the parts that you need fo power steering and brakes upgrade.

I just did the same thing on my'67F100, except
I didn't use power disc brakes, just the discs
and my right leg for power. I pulled the I-beams,
radius arms etc. at a yard got all that and the
steering column and gear for $101.00. spent another $70 on new bushings for the I-beams and
radius arms. Hope you have nice weather, it's getting cold here in MN.
thanks for the help there are lots of 70 fords
here I should have no problem finding a donor
truck. As for cold I live Nova Scotia Canada
so i have been throwing all the wifes stuff
out of my garage to make room for the change
before I freeze.
