How about this one ??
I've a F-150(2000) with 37300 miles in it and this morning the engine give-up.(no one knows why ??)
According to the Ford service people(Orange CA.) I've to pay around $1500 to replace the engine(Ford willing to pay 75% of the total cost ($5600).
Just a reminder for all of you the "bumper 2 bumper warranty" expires @ 36K mile.

I'd get on somebody @ Ford Corp about this. You're too close to the 36k.
From my experience, the fuel vapor return valve on my wife's Nissan went at 38k after the 36k warranty expired. The dealer charged me $50 diagnostic fee, $37 for the valve, $40 labor. I wrote to Nissan & got a $125 one time service credit good for 6 months, which I used for an alignment, radiator flush, & an interior trim piece.
It was worth the effort.
