Tires? Nitto Terra's vs. Toyo MT's

I have a 2004 FX-4 with a daystar leveling kit. I hate the goodrich rugged trail tires on it and am looking to buy new tires, preferrably 33" or 35". I like the Nitto terra grapplers and the toyo m/t's. I know the toyos make them for the stock 18" in rims but am unsure about the Nitto terra grapplers. Can anyone help me out with some suggestions?

I went with the nitto 325/60/18s which are 33/12ish. I don't think they make an 18 that will give you the height that you want that will fit on the factory rim which is on 7.5in wide. I went with 18x9.5 american racing traxx wheels in polished aluminum. I was considering the Toyo's but liked the tread and sidewall of the Nitto's better. I will say that they are a bit louder on the higway than the stockers, but I don't notice that much anymore.

I just changed from stock 18 rims to 17 chrome and bought the Nitto 295-70-17. There where more options in the 17" tires. The 325 Nitto was too wide with out the lift and I don't need my truck any higher, I can barley get into the bed as it is. The 295 is 33" and about 12 + wide. I did feel a little power loss, can feel the road a little more and have a little vibration at 60+ mph. But it sure does look nice.

I currently have 265/70/17 nitto terra grapplers AT and I personally do not like them. They have made my truck sluggish. I was talking to the sales reps at the local truck shop down here and he said that the nittos are made for f250 / 2500 models, 10 plys...i d o not know if that is all correct but like i said i wish i had not purchased them. truck hydroplanes easily, does not thread water at all. I wanted to go for a more agressive look while not spending the money on better tires. Nittos are the "cheapest brand name". next time i will go with BGF's or Goodyear / michelin....
