292 rebuild

Hey, just to get things started in here, I'm going to be rebuilding a 292 over the summer, and am looking for any ideas/tips from anyone who's been there, done that.
I'm also wondering if there are any aftermarket performance parts out there for these bulletproof engines...?
I know Heddman hedders has headers, and isky cams has several cams. Are there any more?

Hello,
Welcome to the Ford Truck Enthusiasts website. This site is a great source of information about the Ford line of light duty trucks and prides itself on maintaining a family orientated website. In order to maintain this site for all interent users, Mr. Payne puts a lot of money and effort into the maintenance of FTE and would expect any advertising done on his site to help defrays some of these costs. Your 2 posts to the site appear to be in search of free advertising and as such are not within the spirit of FTE. Please contact Mr. Payne direct at webmaster at ford-trucks.com to enjoy the benefits of legitimate advertising on FTE.

Andrew

Have you ordered any of those wireing or rebuild books off this site. I want to know if it will be worth it to buy a couple. Are the wire diagrams easy to read?

I am going to try and get some pics and sites exe. For everyone.

I'm sorry if you've been offended, but we do get a lot of people here plugging their own sites or their own parts/products for sale, and there are measures that have to be taken to keep things under control. You have to see things from my point of view; all I saw was that you only had 3 posts, and that all three of your posts pertained to the Y-block website.
Now, this is not the place for this to be discussed, and I will remove this thread in a day or so.

Roenne,

Don't like the thought of people looking elsewhere? Then why does FTE maintain a link to F150online on the main site page? Why does FTE have an extensive set of link pages?

We're on track to log over 675,000 visitors for January. I'm not worried about a link in our boards sending 4 or 5 people to visit another site. It doesn't deminish our traffic. If its a good site, then people will visit both our site and theirs, not just one.

The fact of the matter is you've followed the classic pattern of a spammer. No content in your postings, just a link to the same site in every one of your postings. Even worse, is you're telling people to visit a site for Y-block help when the site is thin on content. So its either one of two things, a) either you're affiliated with them either through working for them or by it being a buddies site, or b) you have so little Y-block knowledge yourself that the best you can do is provide a link instead of answering questions.

Either way, this site is here to provide answers, not to be a free-for-link and advertising site. If you have answers, fine... give them. If you don't.... then sit back and listen.
