The 93 F150 I bought ths weekend is missing the switch for the headlights.
I haven't tried it yet bt the guy who sold it to me said to just pull the metal thing with plyers to turn them on. But what I can't figure out is how to turn on high beams.
My boyfriend thinks there should be a switch on the floor but I don't see one.
Does anyone know where the high beam switch is on the 93s?
if its not on the floor, push the multifunction switch (turn signal switch) forward towards the dash that will turn on the hibeams then pull it back to turn them off
The high beam switch should be on the floor under the e-brake. I could be wrong, but I don't think the 93 turn signal switch moves forward except to use the tilt wheel.
Two type 2B rectangular sealed-beam headlamps are used. The lamps have two filaments each, one for low beam and one for high beam. The filaments are identified by the numeral 2 or 2B molded into the lens. Headlamps are controlled by the headlamp switch on the instrument panel and the hand-operated dimmer switch attached to the left side of the steering column.
F-150-250-350, F-Super Duty, E-150-250-350, HI Series and Bronco
Two aerodynamically styled headlamps are used. Each lamp uses a halogen bulb. A burned-out bulb may be replaced without removing the headlamp except on E-150-250-350. Headlamps are controlled by the headlamp switch on the instrument panel and the dimmer switch on the left side of the steering column.
So if it is the wiper switch, then is there a way to tilt the steering?
I got excited for a minute that I could tilt it by pushing the wiper switch forward.
I looked and for the life of me I don't see any other way to tilt the teering. I want it tilted so bad I'm going to buy a new wheel (just so it's smaller and ut of the way) The current wheel is just too deep!
if it only has one stalk, than you do not have tilt.
Well it's one big stalk, then a split where the turn signal and gear shifter is and then a very small stalk.
Once I get it back from the shop I'll take pictures.
Bught it for 650 and it's costing over a grand to get it on the road
That was a shock!
