What size batterys

I am going to get new batterys soon. My one battery only puts on 9.5 volts and it starting to be become difficult tostart my truck. So im looking at the optima red tops. What size should i get. I was looking at getting two 720cca batterys. Would theses work?

I thought we wanted 800 cca's? But I see the stock motorcrafts are 750cca.
Don't know if I'd go 720 but optimas are good batts.

I stick with at least 800cca. The pair I have now are 850cca.

Never skimp on batteries, cuz all kind of strange things can happen if they are not working right.

Stay away from optima for these trucks. Continental says a minimum of 800cca per battery.

What is wrong with the Optimas? The shop I used to use put two in as replacements for my factory originals...

Wal-Mart Everstart Maxx 65N, 850cca and 1000ca, $59.00 each, 3yr free replacement, 9yr prorated warranty. I've had them in since about Jan/Feb 05 with no problems. And, them dang Wal-Marts are around every corner.

And according this to http://www.jci.com/annualreports/2000/pg10.htm they're made by Johnson Controls.

I think im gonna go to wally mart or sears then. The price diffrence from the 720's to the 800 are a pretty big $ jump on summit.

from what I have seen the red tops aren't lasting very long. Optimas working in tandem seem to have relationship issues.

I put the same two in my '99 and they rock and roll. No problems at all and that is in Houston heat.

I was told from a distributer that there are only 3 battery manufactures in the world.
I went to my local Ford dealer and got 2 new 850cca Motorcrafts installed for 131.86.I just have a problem with the 6.00hr boys at wal mart doing anything to my vehicles and the Dealer price was 5 bucks more. They have a 36 month free replacement and 72 month pro rated warranty. Besides that they had a picture of a RED Superduty like mine on them,, and that has to net some serious cool points when you have a picture of your truck on your batteries.!!

I would never let a Wal-Mart boy touch my PSDs either. I bought the batteries and me and my kids installed them. No labor fee!

I let the walmart boy do the install, with my supervision of course.
Hey everyone has to learn somehow, I learned on the farm but how many kids live on the farm or ranch anymore?

Here is a link to battery manufactures I found with a quick web search
http://www.uuhome.de/william.darden/batbrand.htm
A good friends son works at the tire and lube express near me and you wouldnt believe the stories he tells of things that happen there. I agree everyone has to learn somehow, just not at my expense. Not all dealers are the same obviously, I just happen to have a great dealer and they have very competitive prices. Wally World is the only other big game in town so i guess they have to compete.
