trailer on my 78 f 150

guys , I found out my problem,on my brakes , bad fuse looked perfect, but when I checked across the poles on the fuse box ,got fire on one end , none on the other , bad fuse. now Iv got my trailer lights , one problem, when I turn on the headlights, and hit the brakes ,the right side works perfect , left side gos out , Im lost Help. Are you talking L/H side on the truck, trailer or both?

That indicates a ground problem on the left. I would pull the bulb out(trailer or truck, depending on which one has the problem), and clean the brass part off and make sure the little tab on the side of the socket is touching the brass part of the bulb. If this doesn't fix it, you will need to trace the ground wire from the socket and make sure it's good.
