Roush Performance Parts for 6.0L?

I just got off the phone w/ my dealer --- inquiring if they are mod friendly or not. The service manager I spoke with said if it's something they carry, and install, it will not void the warranty. So I spoke with the parts dept to see what they have....they said it's 90% Roush, but they have exhaust, intakes, and chips for the 6.0L. He's calling me back with specifics, but my question is how do Roush performance products stack up to the competetion (i.e. AFE, MBRP, etc)?

Even if the results are not quite as good, would it still be worth it knowing that your warranty will not be affected?

thank you for your thoughts

I'd be surprised if you find anything from Roush for the 6.0L. All they list on their website for trucks is for the F-150. Be very careful of any dealer that says your warranty is covered (on the 6.0L) if they sell/install performance parts - its Ford that authorizes the warranty repairs.

yeah, I couldn't find anything on their website about the F-250 either. I'll be curious as to what the parts dept says when they call me back....

Verbal agreements don't go far these days and dealerships change management / ownership. Just for peace of mind you might want to get that promise in writing...on the dealership letterhead....before you have them mod anything.

I have to agree with KW5413 on this one. If they install it then they should honor the negative outcomes if ford shakes it head no. The dealer I bought my truck from was a big banks pusher. 6"+ lifts, 35-38" tires, and banks kits. The dealer told me that FORD does not care about lifts, tires, and the like, but does (as expected) not like engine mods. So what the dealer would do is either remove the banks kit if the ford tech came out to look at it, or pay out of its own pocket for the repairs. The only problem they had was that a ford tech questioned the hole in the dash for the selector ****, so the dealer being wise to that they just mounted a toggle switch and told them it was for auxilary lightning.

PS. Did I say how much I love my dealer!!!

The problem with 'mod friendly' dealers is that when your head gaskets blow when you're towing the trailer to FLA., the dealer that's going to fix it probably will not be. (mod friendly)

This is a very good point. Then you face the possibility that your OASIS report get RED flagged.
