Good Repair shops in the North State

Tranny
I do know of good tranny shop Jon, but it's up here in Lake county. However, I wouldn't be terribly concerned, the NP435 is a really easy tranny to work on. I've rebuilt one and it was probably the easiest tranny rebuild I've done, so in my opinion if the shop is at all competent they should be able to handle it.
Thanks Dan
I broke down and bought a new Tremec TKO and it should be here this week.
That way I get 4 useable forward gears and a overdrive. It will require a new drive line but hey a single aluminum 4" will look great under there.
I also went ahead and upgraded the pumpkin to a locker for a bit of added traction.

New to the area and living near downtown San Jose. Any recommendations for good old timer shops or even resto shops in the area? I need to have my kingpins replaced on my 73 F100.
BTW- any thoughts on Ross Truck and Equipment Repair? They are down the block and it would very convenient for me if they are trustworthy. As an example, they quoted $700 for kingpin replacement, which seems ball park OK?

Didn't see any references for up here, but have been dealing with On/Off Road Center in Redding for the past few years, and Chuck has been really good about keeping this knows little on the right path. If it hasn't been needed, he won't do it and he has talked me out of some mods/repairs that were un-necessary. I also have to give a shout out about Jefferson State Diesel and Shasta County Diesel for their honesty and willingness to keep me out of trouble. I was getting quotes about "bullet proofing" a 6.0L so I could get SWMBO to buy off on it and all three gave me the SAME advice about my new to me truck. Now the hard part will be who I go with when something does happen.

Rebuilding 226 Machine Shop?
Looking to rebuild my 226 H, can anyone recommend a machine shop in Bay Area, San Jose to Redwood City that is familiar with flathead sixes and won't require a second mortgage?
I'm in Palo Alto area. Thanks all referrals welcome.
I'd be interested in a running 226 if anyone knows of one for sale.
Thanks
