Question How many leaves in standard rear springs?

I have a '99 F250 shortbed cc. It has 6 leaves in each rear spring. Mechanic says it looks like someone added an extra leaf. I bought it used so the previous owner could have done changes. I just can't find out what the original number of leaves should be.

The picture of Kris' ride is a stock A code spring. five in the main pack, plus the overload up top. Stock B code springs have the same main pack without the overload. Anything more in the main pack is an aftermarket addition.
