I admit this wiring diagram is a little redundant…
It offers multiply ways to kill a runaway pump
As well as strong power to the Pressure Switch and York

I found it in my York install folder

Here is a little detail if anyone is interested in making there own dip stick, keep that oil right

Mine is wired directly, only way to kill it is the pressure switch. I want to clean up my wiring eventually though and the diagram should help.

so i have read this thread about converting a York AC system into an on board air system. so i have an York out of a DeTomatso Pantera (it was free) and i have some questions.

1. what is the best way to find out what port is in and what is out? or are they all the same, if turning the same direction?

2. i have read that these can get hot and you need high temp lines for about 18 inches, but just how hot does it get?

3.i have some pressur washer hose that says it is good for 140*F and about 2600 PSI (yes two thousand six hundred) would that work?

4. what would be a good max psi to stop the compressor at? or is the compressor not the limeting factor typicly? and it is what ever my tank and lines are good for?

sorry to bring up an old thread just thought it would get more attention

the reason people use the York style is because they have their own oil for lub. many other styles use the Freon to lub the compressor, and that at lest to me does not look like a york compessor, so i would say dont bet on it.

On the top of the York it will say 'Disch' discharge on the left if the pulley is facing you, and 'Suction' on the right if it turns clockwise. There is also a big 'S' cast into the suction side.

2. i have read that these can get hot and you need high temp lines for about 18 inches, but just how hot does it get?

What kind of test would you guys like to see?..... I run mine max 225 psi to a 12 gallon tank. So I could do 100 to 150 psi at idle speed to my 12 gallons.

3.i have some pressur washer hose that says it is good for 140*F and about 2600 PSI (yes two thousand six hundred) would that work?

From my experience, the york will get to hot and blow it. But my extreme duty has a lot to do with that.

4. what would be a good max psi to stop the compressor at?

I would stop it at 150 psi and at least a 5 gallon tank. You could run anything air powered on a 145 pressure switch.
Some more info for the Air Thread

Do you happen to have another stock bracket lying around? Or know the part number?

I know this is an old thread, but I'm looking to put a york on my 300 and can't find anyone else that's done it.

Thanks
