Where is the OBDII Port
Hello,
I have a 1996 Ford f250 4x4 with a 5.8. It is in the processs of being inspected for emissions. The shop is telling me that they cannot locate the OBDII connector. They showed me the normal location (just right of center on the bottom of the dash). Can this be located somewhere else or did someone possibly remove it?
It won't pass Virginia emissions without them being able to connect to this port.
Any Ideas?
Thank You,
Jon

The "heavy duty" trucks were exempt from the OBD-II requirements back then. Your truck is only OBD-I compliant. The connector is under the hood on the driver's side fender.
One would think an inspection shop should know this... maybe you should find a different one.
almost forgot... Welcome to the site!
