water in oil?

ok so this is my first time posting for a gas engin. i will come right out front and tell you i know just about squat about gas engins. im a diesil guy. my dad has a 1997 f-150 with the 4.6l. the otherday it started running real ruff and then the check engin light came on. well i then took it to auto zone and had them run the code. they said the #4 cylinder was missfiring. so they said it could be either plugs or plug wires. so i went home and put new plugs in. the first spark plug boot i pulled( #1) had what looked like and smelled like anti-freez on it. i had no clue.so the rest on that side of the engin was the same except the #4 which had water stuph on the inside of the boot. the otherside was all dry. now my question is could ther be water in my oil or what could happen i just have no clue i had the engin light erased and hasnt come back on yet. the truck also has only 87000 miles on it. sorry for it being so long

I thought there was a coolant line that can leak once in awhile on that side? Heater hose or something. Just double check all the hoses and make sure it isn't dribbling onto the heads.

Check the heater hose that runs directly above the #4 cylinder and check to see if it is tight.
