'66 Fuel Pump Help
I just replaced the fuel pump on my 66, i know i've got it positioned right because i can hear it squak (pump) if i loosen the bolts and move it up and down. What i'm not sure about is on the box with the new fuel pump, it says "caution new filter or strainer required". Is this inside the canister? or are they referring to the inline filter? and if it's inside the canister can i take the one outta my old pump and clean it? Thanks for the help.

'66 Fuel Pump Help
The last time I replaced the fuel pump on my 66 F100 the new pump came with a filter. If yours didn't come with one I would get a new one. There are not that expensive and your local parts store should be able to get it for you. I would definately not reuse the old one.

'66 Fuel Pump Help
I put a new fuel pump in my 66 f100 a month ago it it said the same thing on the box, it has worked just fine. My truck is 95% stock and is drivin every day with 114000 orginal miles on it. I am not sure why it says that on the box but I got mine at Auto Zone and and it has work great since I got it.
P.S. I still got the old for my resto project(so the #'s match) which I STILL can't aford.
