can anyone tell me if the 87 factory fuel pumps can handle 400hp or more if not can someone tell me if i can go with a sing high pressure pump in the tank instead

 

I would think that the factory pumps won't support that much power. I think you may be able to use a mustang pump in-tank, but I couldn't say for sure. You'd have to eliminate the factory high pressure frame mounted pump.
