Nitrous and shifting

Just wondered this, say you're happily driving along (ok ok under hard acceleration) with nitrous on and you shift...what happens with the nitrous still flowing? Is there a valve that cuts it off, or does it just spray into the engine and combust with no problems until you get on the gas again?

Sorry...another random one from the mind of RP.

There is a WOT switch on nitrous kits that only allows it to spray when you are at full throttle. When you let off the gas to shift the nitrous quits spraying.

I think there's a throttle cut-off switch, such that when you release the gas pedal to shift (you do that, right?) the nitrous is cut off until you hit the gas again.

Mine is electronically modulated (automatic transmission). Between shifts, the timing is backed off and the nitrous stops flowing.

Wait a minute, nevermind. I don't have nitrous on my truck. I have no idea what I'm talking about.
