What about the Roush Products???

I hear everyone talking about all these different companies. Does no one buy the roush products. I was looking online at the roush stores. They got some really nice aftermarket. I am just curious as to why noone buys there products.

usually people complain about price...thats my guess...i don't mind paying for quality, and if I was looking for goodies I would give them a shot

Lots of people buy their stuff... in the Mustang world. Roush (IMHO) hasn't been well known for truck accessoriess but that's starting to change. I've been in their plants, given the grand tour, and I can tell you their quality is second to none. On my own truck you can't tell the Roush parts from the Ford parts, the fit and finish is that perfect. I wouldn't have purchased a Roush truck if I wasn't impressed with it.

Because they don't really sell anything for the Lightning crowd, is why. They used to have a total suspension package for the Lightning, but they discontinued it. It's only available for the extended cab trucks now. And that package was nasty, too! I wish they still made it.

Look at their site again, bro. Almost everything that a Lightning owner would want to upgrade their suspension or to make their truck go faster is only offered for the '04 trucks and up.

Why don't Lightning owners buy Roush stuff? Because Roush doesn't really have any products for the Lightning truck. They have a few items, but intake tubes and cam bolts can be had anywhere.

I got it without the blower. Arrangements were made at that time to install the blower as part of a tech article series. The Roushcharger arrived yesterday and I'm making final plans now for the installation.

Do you have to use the tune they give you or can you have your own tuner tune for it?
The plugs they give are one heat range colder? If so what do you do if you up the boost and have to go more? Does Ford make a plug two heat rangers colder for that motor?

Not to hijack thread but I sold my L and have a 06 F150 4x4 XLT RC/FS with a 5.4L and I am thinking about supercharging it.

P.S. Good luck on the install.

I hope you feel better soon......Roush has many parts for the 04-07 F-150's.
We are constantly updating and coming out with new parts. When you purchase the Roushcharger you have to use Roush's stand alone calibration in the ECM or your warranty will be VOID. If you try to use somone elses tunes we cannot guaruntee that the system will even work. It would be best tp use our tune that way youknow its safe your truck will last (as long as you follow the guide lines) and it will have and make great power. The trucks make 445HP 500 FT. LBS of torque with the I/C system......Now thats a beast!

All our numbers are done with the motor itself done on a Dyno......These are SAE numbers....The numbers will vary due to climate change and altitude. The numbers posted are average......Some have said their truck has more some said it had less. It all depends on where you live basically.
