What about the K&N FIPK w/ shield

Ok guys I have heard the bad reviews on using the K&N drop in using the stock air box. Which i have along with the ZOODAD mod. (all previously done by old owner) But how does the FIPK stand up to what i have now, the 6637 mod, or going with an AFE stage 2 or even Stage 1 wiithout the tube. Throw your AIS comments in there as well. I have an exhaust on the way and need to decide on intake. Thanks Jeff

The AIS is the way to go. The best filtering, no funny noises and fits like it is supposed to.

I have the K&N FIPK and have been running it for about 40K miles. I drive 98% of the time on the highway, so I am not experiencing any ill effects from it. However, if I had it to do over again, I would either install the 6637 or purchase the AFE Pro 7. At some point, I will install the 6637 anyway. I do like the sound of the open intake, so that is not an issue for me. Fact is I have the wicked wheel as well and mine really screams, but I like it anyway.

JBB_01F250,

If you want max CFM flow rates the AFE Stage II is the king!! If you get the PG7 filter it stops dirt within 1/2 of 1% as well as a paper filter, so filtration is a moot point at best. Plus the filter will last most likely your term of ownership so you're not spending money on throw away filters etc. Make a post asking what owners think abotu the Stage II, you'll get lots of answers.

If you have any questions on it call us we'll be glad to help you.
