It may be coincidental bout since i bought my power pup ive had a thermostat housing leak and now my drivers side hpx oring is leaking. (sshpx was added 8 months ago) All within three weeks of buying the programmer.

Question- is the programmer adding more pressure to the oil thats driving the injectors or does it rely on advanced timing? What is the difference between programmers and chips?

I like the programmer for my driving needs. 80 hp setting and im not on the throttle hard.

thirdly - where do i get a replacement oring to fix my leak? thanks

 

The thermostat may be a coincident but the oil leak probably isn't. A friend of mine with the Bulldog products (I'm not picking on Bulldog, anytime you up the HP you up the pressures) started having leaks on the oil system within weeks after he installed it.

As Far As Pressures Go, Are Chips And Programmers The Same?

 

Some tuners and/or chips change the timing, some tuners and/or chips add more fuel. But I believe all of them increase the injector pressures and thus pressures on the oil system that runs the injectors.
