I just bought a 1985 ford f250 6.9 diesel and was curious as to what I could do mod wise on a college budget. I was thinking of a performance muffler and re doing the Y pipe area. what do you think the gain would be. I'm not looking for a neck jerking increase, but my truck gets 15 mpg and I think I need to releave some engine stress somewhere.

are there any more cheap mods that I could do to get a little more torque from this engine?
