I purchased my first Ford Truck ( 2004 F150 FX4) 2 months ago I have added a few new things to my truck, duel flowmaster exaust system, K&N Cold air intake system and have purchased a new Good Hood, the new high rise dual ram hood, the company I purchased tells me I also need to also purchase an upgrade to make the Hood function , Does anyone know if I will really need that to make the hood function or will the cold air intake I already have installed be enough

 

Id buy the upgrade if its cheap. Itd be worth it having a functioning hood, rather than just for show.

 

Thanksfor the help, I talked with the folks from Good Hoods and found out the K & N System I already have was enough and I did not need the upgrade to make the hood functional. The " Good Hood" upgrade was an additional $400,which I was willing to pay to make the hood functional, I just did not know if the upgrade would be in addition to what I have already or if it would be needed instead of the upgrade I had already done.

 

Yea for $400, I wouldnt have done it anyways. Good Luck.
