Pasted by me from the transmission forum, and I don't like to double-post...just not sure where to post for the most (any) response.
I would like to know what kind of transmission I have on my '65 F100, 352. It is a 4-speed. Engraved on the transmission are two sets of numbers/letters:
On the rear of the transmission it is: DOZR-7A040-A (I think it's an "A" at the end).
On the front of the transmission it is: C8AR 7006-WI 0270
