emissions: to get injectors or not
Here in Utah we have diesel emissions (I believe isn't a standard yet nationwide). My question is, if I were to go with injectors and a dp chip would a stock setting be clean enough?
Another thought is that they could make a custom burn just for emissions. Here in UT they plan on getting tougher emissions in the near future according to the tech who did last inspection.
I know the man to talk to would be Jody and I plan on calling just thought I would throw this out.

how extreme do you want to go on the injectors? i bet jody could work a specific setting or something that would fire each cylinder every other time once it got above a certain RPM but kept a smooth idle. i think that would be the only way around it, because im sure any aftermarket injector will put you over the limit, im almost certain of that.

So just shop for and pick another state to register your vehicles in. There are lots of advantages to picking the correct state. Sales tax, inspections, emmisions, and for me the big one is insurance. I went from a state that I was paying $520.00, now down to $181.00 for the exact same coverage. One way to shut these socialist thinking communities down is just to boycott them.

They check how you paid for the license tabs, if it's paid for with a check that is registered in a county where they do testing then they assume you are cheating and come after you. You have to be very careful of the paper trail that you leave.

You'd probably have to detune below stock, depending on the injectors, or they'll still smoke.

The test here in UT is done on rollers. Pretty cool to watch and see the tech's, my truck gets squirely on the rollers(they just chalk front tires and really gave me a scare the first time). Right after my last post here my video card crapped out so I haven't been following up. I will call dp-tuner tomorrow and will post what I find out. It would make my day if they could get a set of stage II's to work with a tune.
