Intake gasket question

Intake gasket question
This should be easy for those of you who have done this. does the injectors need to be removed? And if so should the O rings be replaced? The Haynes manual shows them removed but dosen't say that is necessary. Should I be alarmed that I didn't have any fuel pressure in the fuel rail when I went to
bleed it off? I got as far as having only 12 bolts holding down the upper intake when it got dark. Wish me luck!
Thanks
Mike

I just did my upper & lower intake gasket replacement last month on my 97, if you are doing the lower I think you are going to have to pull the fuel rail and injectors makes it so much easier, which means you will have to disconnect the regulator, injectors, fuel supply and return line and remove the four bolts that hold down the rail. If you pull the injectors you will also need to replace the o-rings. As for the fuel pressure, if it sat for awhile prior to doing the work then don't worry about not having pressure.
