I have looked and looked for any kind or lift kits for my '61 F100 4x4. Can anyone help me in finding a lift kit. I mainly just want new springs in front and back. I have found shocks for a lift kits in my truck already. If u don't know of a lift kit, is there any place i can purchase a new steering arm so i can put 3"- 4" blocks in the front and rear. Thanks
Hey man,
I have a '65 4x4 and I also have been looking for one. I found one from Jackit for a '66 but they said it wouldn't fit my '65 because it was "different" although I thought they were exactly the same. The only other answers I have gotten are have your springs rearched or made new ones. Hope this helps.
i wouldnt put any sort of blocks under that front-end i would the rear-end but not the front remember that there is alot of stress up there i would definetly recommend re-arching the front springs and add a leaf. it would be much more reliable. im also working on getting enough change together to send off my front springs they need the whole 9-yards

Custom or re-arched springs are the way to go to get a few inches. Other parts may have to be modified at a local weld shop if you going over 2-3". My 62 f100 4x4 still has stock springs which I'm about to replace to get more axle travel. I'm trying to talk a local guy into building me a custom set. Pick up an off road or 4x4 magazine, there are several adds for custom springs. If your going for lots of lift, you'll have to fabricate parts anyway.
