Have any of you guy's used a Wagner Paint Crew airless sprayer? I need to paint the inside of our new house and was wondering if these are any good.
thanks, john
My neighbor bought one to spray his deck, worked real good.
If you not going to spray 2 gallons or more(great for priming) of the same color at one time, don't bother getting the sprayer dirty, you do have to clean them very well and spraying anything less than 2 gallons you could roll on quicker with less clean-up work.
The Paint Crew is not a bad sprayer for the price. I happened to get mine on sale, plus had a $25 off coupon and it came with a roller attachment.
It does put out a lot of paint in a short amount of time. Make sure you have plenty of light, mask off real good and at a minimum, wear a dust mask. Use even strokes and DO NOT linger at all in any spot.
Did I mention to make sure you have plenty of good light
Cleanup was the worst part with the Paint Crew but needs to be done completly and throughly. It's a good enough system that I would buy again. For as much as normal home owners need a sprayer, it does a good job and it's fast. Takes a bit of getting used to so you don't put on too heavy a coat.
Was also looking to purchase an airless paint sprayer. If you go to 'Amazon.com' there are several buyer's of the 'Wagner paint crew' system who summited their review. Seem to vary in opinion, but like to review negative issues. Seem to recall most of the reviews were favorable. Was considering renting, with nearest tool rental some 70 miles away round trip at $75 a day, felt purchasing would pay for itself with few uses. Went with another upscale brand, perhaps more than really need, but with any power tools purchased, tend to try and avoid upgrading down the road.
