289 or 302 in 66 bronco
I just bought a 66 Bronco to start building. This is my first Ford, and the guy who sold it to me told me it had a 289. Then he told my brother, later, that it had a 302, and that it was not the original motor. So, my question is, how do I know what I've got, and which is the more desirable motor? What's the real-world difference, if any, in performance, and does it impact the value to the car signficantly?Noggindog (Mike T)

Welcome to the board! It is a great source of help and information. May I suggest, though, that you also post your question in the early Broncos section, as they will be more knowledgeable.
