I have a 77 F250 with a 351M and a 4speed tran. After a valve job it is runing warmer not hot,But warmer.I was thinking of changing to a cluch fan instead of the stright one that is on it.
Can someone explain the pro and cons of this,And is this a bad decision
Thanks Don

Don't know. :/ But sounds to me like you are going the wrong direction.
Clutch fans are for quieter operation and better gas mileage and not-towards more cooling.
A clutch fan will cool better in most cases. I installed one on the 460 that I put in my 77 and it has never run hot. The blades usually have a more aggressive pitch and pull more air at low speeds, then loosen up at higher speeds to free up power and mileage.
A good 7 blade clutch fan with a thermostatic clutch will cool great.

Yeah didn't think about the fan blade being different. Thanks.
