Will have to see how money is by then.I would love to meet some of you guys.I havent worked in three year because of neck and back problems. But will try.Havent been to the car show in a good 12 years. But i did do some trading a couple weeks ago and traded a garden tractor even up for a 71 Ford F100.And drove it home. But the wife was following me home and her truck quit on the interstate.Got it towed home and started checking it out and to make a long story short itbroke the Harmonic Balancer and broke the timing chain and bent a couple valves. And i stopped there.Sorry to rambling on.Tony

What size engine do you have? I'm disabled too so I understand about the $$$$$. But if you can join us it would be great but if not that is ok too cause everyone understands.

The 71 is a 302 and the 78 that the motor went is a 302 too.My othe 78 has a 390 in it.But im think about taking the 71 motor and put it in the wife truck so she has a cheaper way to go to work. Then part out the 78 with the 390 in it.Think about putting the 390 in the 71 and put the frontend out from under the 78 that in parting out under the 71 so i will have Power brakes and steering. But not sure yet.The 390 is costing her to much in gas to go to work.

Reb.....Are these gtg's for anyone or do you HAVE to be in the NC chapter ?
I'm involved with another NC group of Ford trucks, and It couldn't hurt to be involved with another group......could it? I'd just have to drive my PSD,cause my old 77 would eat up too much $$$ in gas and tickets

You're more than welcome to join us as far as I know we're open to everyone with a Ford Truck.Doesn't matter if you are in the NC Chapter it's a great way for a person to see if they would like to join us or not.

I also understand about gas I run a 460 in my 86 F250 which runs great now thanks to Nc firefighter the first time and then Mako,Scwidvicious, and 79Trailerspecial last Saturday really got it going great.

I know what you mean about parting out your truck.I plan on selling my 74 Ventura so I can fix up my truck.I had the car over 2 years but I like my truck better.
