As most of you know, I am redoing my truck and in my hast to get things rolling, I forgot to take a few measurements before I got started.
Can someone who owns a stock 64 F100 take a few measurements for me?
Tell me what your tire diameter is to establish a baseline as well.
1. Ground to bottom of front frame.
2. Ground to bottom of rear frame.
3. Measure from bottom of cab sill ( in the center) to the ground.
Has anyone used rear mono leafs for their truck? How much drop did it give you and did you have to use reverse eye springs?
Krosati I'll measure my frame later tonight. I have an all stock '64 except for the universal engine mount. I guess I'll also measure my frame rail's if someone has the the measure measurement for there truck rail. I really need to put a beefy cross member in it. I'm getting tired of worring if I am going to twist my universal. Would be mind of interesting to show people. But still.
Where is the frame sill or better yet give me a discription of what it looks like. I am not exactly sure what or where it is that you are talking about. Rather then give you bunk info. I can say I have 275/60R15's all the way around.
The cab sill I am refering to is the very bottom part of the cab step. I want to reference the sheetmetal to the frame once I have established where it was versus were it will end up.
I didn't take the measurements like I originally planned and now I have no reference to guage how low my truck will end up.
Ok your talking about the bottom of the door openings. At the lowest point? Or from like lets say the front lower corner or rear lower corner of the door opening? Do you want both sides or just one? Am I close here? If not break it down two year old style. You have to forgive me I have never measured the cab or frame diamentions before.
*snif* *snif* (she don't look like this no more!
I hope I'm not becoming a pain in the differential!
I just need one side, those three dimensions and your tire size to reference what I will have versus what I did have. I assume your suspension is in good shape with good bushings, right?
I picked up my frame today from the blaster and I will post those frame rail dimensions for you.
May I ask what you are trying to accomplish? Every truck will most likely be different. I'll be glad to measure my 63 Uni if it will help. Let me know

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 21-Jul-02 AT 06:07 PM (EST)]Well I measured it. The rear measurement is 22". the middle is 15". the front is 14.5" Tires ar 255/60-15

What happened was, I started stripping the frame too fast and didn't get reference measurements as to the existing frame height with the frame weighted. Now that I have a lower front end with the MustangII, I wanted to set up the rear of the frame with the right stance in relation to a stock truck. Since everyone runs different tires/wheels, I figured I could re-establish a baseline for my setup.
For example, if your truck is 22" rear and 14.5" front, I can establish a rake of 2.15 degrees.
Using the tire radius, I can determine the final ride height.
Since I want about the same rake, and I will be using a 27.5" diameter tire, my frame front will sit at 13.75" (based on tire radius) and the rear should sit at 21.25".
If there's and easier way, let me know cuz I don't want to have to play with different spring rates after I paint and install everything.
