These are the 1500 1/2 tons.

GM has not made any annoucement about the 1500HD, 2500HD or 3500HD.

The HD's are running 3 months behind the LD's.

My god, what are you talking about?

All you can see is sheet metal and seat fabric.

Go to www.chevrolet.com

They have some animation showing the chassis on these trucks. Then form a conclusion. If you still like the Ford better, at least you will (seem to) know what you are talking about.

Like another poster said, you could slap a blue oval on a turd and some people would buy it.

well they now have everthing the F-150s got stronger frame, powered sliding rear window, powerd rear window that go down so yes good for chevy in trying to compete with its worst enemy to bad the 2007 Fords are getting ups aswell like both matchin 10,500 pound trailers to bad the fords got 890 pounds more payload good for chev they gotta do what they are doing copy everything from the 04-06 Fords

I guess GM "copied" Ford way back in the 20s when GM started painting their cars black.

I wonder who GM copied the steering wheel from? Good thing, or the new models would still have reins. "Gidde'yup Bowtie!".

Everyone does marketing research to try and figure out what customers want. This is a little like black magic, because you are trying to predict fads 3-5 years down the road. Sometimes, you get ahead of the curve, sometimes you are behind.

You also save some features for newer models to try and differentiate the new from the old and give existing owners a reason to trade in for the new model.

One thing that GM "copied" that I do not appreciate is the higher sides of the F-150 box. Most annoying way to "increase payload capacity" that I have ever seen. Can't reach in and get a darn thing out of that box without climbing in.

In my opinion... Terrible.

I believe Ford is going to see a bigger increase in the truck market, once again.

Very handsome trucks......and I think the GMC has a LOT of Super Duty styling cues in the grill area. The Chevy really turned it around compared to the samarai abortion previously offered.

If the '08 Super Duty looks anything like the spy shots I've seen.......Ford may be in bigger trouble than they are now.

The MAJORITY of LIGHT truck owners could care less about a few hundred pound payload difference or MAXIMUM towing capacities.

Jschira, that's just disgusting!............funny as hell, but disgusting!!

(let me know how much he pays you for it!!)

Agreed. Most recreational towing is well within the limits of all of these trucks. "Biggest Load" and "Highest Towing Capacity" claims are more advertising copy than anything on a 1/2 ton truck. If you are going to be towing 10,000 lbs. regularly, most (and unfortunately, only most) have learned to go to a 3/4 ton truck.

And I bought a little trailer for $300 at Tractor Supply that will carry 1800 lbs. Only 1' off the ground too. I use it to haul heavy sacks of mulch, etc. home from Home Depot and Lowes. Much easier to load/unload.

93Rangerxl4x2 you need to lay off the Kool-aid, I guess Ford copied Chevy back in 98 when the Silverado was the first pick-up with a hydro formed frame, or Cadillac for having the first electric starter. I personally think they look good but still will give my final word when they actually come out.
