VIN Code help
Any help on figuring my VIN code for my '62 would be greatly appreciated. Better yet if you could steer me to an on line source that wupid be great! Here is what I have
S/N F25CR282052 I know the F25 means F-250
WB 122 which I suppose means Wheel Base 122"
Color Code F I think it is still itsoriginal two-tone sky blue/wimbeldon white
Trans F
Axle B4
Other codes are self explanitory except for
D.S.0. 1312

Thanks a ton Robert! That is just what I needed. There were a couple of confusing points though. My axle code looks right, but doesn't show up on the chart until '63 And the color code of "F" doesn't show up until '65 as light blue. Body shops have told me my colors are sea blue with wimbledon white. I am fairly certain it was two tone from the factory though that doesn't show at all in the charts.

VIN Code help
Rich: Post your entire warranty plate info here. I think you've either got a plate which is not original to your truck, or the letters are misplaced.
F color code is Light Blue for 60, Baffin Blue for 62 - 64, and Light blue (again ) for 65 - 66.
If yours is a two tone truck, then you should have 2 color codes.
S/N F25CR282052 works out to:
F25 - F 250
C - 292 2V 135 hp @ 3800RPM
R - San Jose Plant
282xxx = April '62
Color Code F = Baffin Blue
Trans F = Synchronized 4 speed, either T-98 or T-18
Axle B4 = Locking Rear Spicer 60 axle, 4.56 Ratio, 5,000 lbs cap
D.S.0. 1312 = 13 = New York, 12 = Buffalo
