Thumbs up unibody

You know on Ebay most everyone calls there unibody Rare . I am starting to think there are more unibodys that the ones with Left over beds on them. What does everyone think out there?

I agree.
Every E-bay does say "rare" and in a way they are rare regardless, because they were only made for three years, but there are a lot more out there then what most people think.
As long as they don't go to the "Super or Extremely rare card !!

I may be wrong (and frequently am) but I was under the impression that the bulk of the trucks built during those years were Flairsides or the other beds. I'm thinking only 20,000 unibodys per year? Does that sound right? Maybe my 63 Longbed Uni is only Medium Rare?

about 200K units total....rare...depends on if you got a 1/2 or 3/4 ton...3/4 tons are definately rare...campers sent many to an early death as i recall hearing in not so many words...

I do like the look of the uni's though :-)

Hey! I also have a 61 Uni.I have just put a 400 in it .It originally had a 292 w/3 speed on the tree. Now it has a c6 auto. I'm fixing it up to be a daily runner. All it really needs now is a Paint job and a brake job and she will be on the road....

Unibody

I have a 1962 F100 Unibody Custom Cab longbed. It is pretty much all original down to the AM radio. It is a 262 I6, 4-speed manual. It seems that not many of these trucks got the 262, I've seen one other in this thread. It needs rust repaired in the driver's side front floorboard and tailgate hinges. Other than that, very solid. Check out pics in my gallery.

unibody registry

Have you had come up with an idea of how many 61-63 unibody's are out there?
Do you know where I can look to verify the mileage of my truck?

I have a 62 custom cab s/b with a 223 and 3 on the tree converted to the floor. It's aqua colored with white wheels and front bumper. It was ordered from Lewis Marshall dealership in Marshall, TX with a grill guard and spotlight for Texas parks and wildlife judging from faded decals. Planning on keeping original paint and patina and putting in a turbocharged 300 straight 6 with a 5 speed. Also have a sweet tailgate I'm making out of an old coca-cola cooler door with a built in bottle opener
