Service Engine light

My service engine light on my 99 F250 V10 came on after I left my gas cap loose. Does anyone know how to clear the code?

Disconnect battery ground cable for 15 minutes. Or, disconnect and pull on headlight switch. Reconnect, it should be gone...alone with your radio presets, etc. Computer will take a few drive cycles to relearn it's strageties.

Any Autozone can check the codes for free with a scanner and clear the codes without the battery disconnect mess.

my 2005 F350 kr did the same,, just continued to drive it and after about a day the code cleared,, was something to do with emissions with fuel cap off,, guess it is one way of letting ya know the cap is either loose or off,,
