Transfercase Question

I bought a 1975 Ford F-100. It has a 360 motor, C6 tranny, and a NP203 Full Time transfercase . Can anyone tell me anything about the transfer case? I also hate the four wheel drive full time . Does anyone have any suggestions. Or would it be better to convert to the NP 205. Please let mo know what you guys think.

You can convert the full time to part time with a conversion kit, and a set of manual locking hubs, or you can switch to a NP205 but that requires different driveshafts and you need to buy locking hubs anyway.

Take note. I have a extra tranny, transfercase, and drive shafts that I have collected for parts on my other 1975 Ford F-250 4x4.

What will you be using the truck for? Mostly street driveing, or off road.

If you convert it for part time only, then you don't need to go through the trouble of swapping to the 205.
IF you want somthing reliable off road, then convert it to the 205, and save yourself the headache.

Just a suggestion, Mile Marker has good quality and priced parts for either way you decide. You need hubs no matter what, and I think theirs are pretty good.
They also sell the conversion kit.
