I'm looking for frame dimensional and specification data for my 1966 F-100. While trailing it back from Texas, I was involved in an accident and slung the truck half off the trailer. As a result, the left side of the frame was bent. Any ideas out there on where I may obtain this data. I tried Trueway, but they only go back to '73. Help!!

 

I believe the informationis in the factory manuals you can purchase online at the store.

 

There is no data in the shop manuals, but My 64 is still a bare frame at the moment. There is a lot of similarity in the year models so post what you need and I will help where I can.

 

Sorry to hear that! If it is the frame horns in front of the cross member, saw off the bent one and weld in a replacement. The frame rail is another deal, depending on how badly it is damaged it may be simpler to replace the complete frame. 1965 through 1972 are the same.

Have a body shop check with the folks at Chief, they make and sell the most commonly used frame racks out there. I've had good success in the past getting dimensions from them on older vehicles.

Unless the frame rail is split or accordioned heavily, it can likely be fixed.
